Vancouver Photo Retouching Services for Lululemon

At The Retoucher Studio, we provide expert photo editing services for brands across North America. One of our most significant collaborations involved Vancouver-based Lululemon—first for their 2021–2022 Olympic lookbook and editorial campaign, and again in 2023 for their holiday visuals. Each project featured large-scale image retouching for print, digital, and in-store use.

A Long-Term Partnership with an Iconic Vancouver Brand

Lululemon trusted us with hundreds of high-stakes visuals that needed perfect editorial-level polish. From athlete images to model lookbooks and themed holiday shots, we provided the full suite of clipping, masking, background cleanup, and color grading services. As a dedicated photo retouching company, we maintained brand cohesion and visual consistency across every image.

2021–2022: Olympic Lookbook & Editorial Campaign

This Olympic campaign featured both professional models and high-profile Canadian athletes such as Piper Gilles, Paul Poirier, John Tavares, Dawn Richardson Wilson, and more. The shoot required clean, cohesive visuals that honored Lululemon’s brand standards while highlighting the athletic elegance and individuality of each subject.

The campaign presented serious technical challenges. Many images were shot at high ISO, which introduced digital grain that made background cleanup—especially pleat and fold removal—difficult. To solve this, we applied advanced split-frequency techniques and executed full background replacements to restore smoothness without compromising depth or lighting transitions.

Color matching was critical: each image was aligned to the swatch palette—either red or beige backgrounds—so the collection remained cohesive. When swapping beige to red, we used precise clipping paths and masking to isolate the background, allowing targeted color adjustment without affecting the models, clothing, or props. We also redrew hair strands, adjusted fabric reflections, preserved original shadow positions, and performed liquify reshaping to reduce clothing bumps. Background extensions ensured assets fit graphic layouts for digital and in-store displays. Our use of texture-savvy beauty retouching services preserved authentic skin while refining each shot with high-end natural skin editing.

2023: Holiday Campaign

The 2023 holiday campaign involved over 150 indoor studio shots featuring sportswear and decorative props like floating spheres. Many spheres were distorted by lighting or camera angles, so we reshaped them to perfect circles or moved or removed them if they distracted from the main subject.

Background cleanup was thorough: we applied precise clipping paths and masking, followed by background extensions. The backgrounds were cleaned and color-matched to Lululemon-approved swatches for both dark blue and grey—matching the overall campaign tone. We also used liquify reshaping to smooth out garment creases and reduce fabric bumps. To finalize the polish, our product photo retouching services removed dust, stray threads, and floor scuffs—resulting in clean, professional-looking images.

FAQ — Photo Editing Services in Vancouver

Why are you considered one of the best photo retouching studios in Vancouver?

Clients choose The Retoucher Inc. for senior-level editors, color-managed workflows, and meticulous QC. We’re a North American studio based in Montréal, led by a Canadian high-end photo retoucher, and we actively serve brands in Vancouver and across California. Because it’s tough to find a high-quality local retoucher, we bridge that gap—no offshore outsourcing, clear communication, and a shared working culture. Every project includes at least two rounds of adjustments to meet company and Art Director requirements, with layered, non-destructive files delivered on time.

Are you comfortable working with big budgets for large-scale projects (over $10,000)?

Yes. We’ve successfully managed large campaigns and bulk image editing projects that require careful planning, multiple review stages, and high attention to detail. Our process includes clear timelines, regular updates, and quality checks at every step to ensure the final results meet your standards—whether it’s hundreds of product images, editorial spreads, or a mix of both.

Do you operate during PT or EST time?

We serve both time zones. Core hours are 8:00 AM–8:00 PM Eastern (ET) (5:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific). For West-Coast teams, we schedule overlapping coverage to support a typical 9:00 AM–6:00 PM PT workday when required.

How many companies have you served in Vancouver?

We’ve partnered with numerous Vancouver-based brands. Our latest collaboration (July 2025) was with Norco Bicycles, providing product color matching, color correction, compositing, and texture adjustments.

Which Vancouver industries do you serve?

Outdoor/sports (e.g., Norco Bicycles), apparel/athleisure, beauty, tech accessories, furniture/home goods, and specialty retail.
